Short version: AgentTip does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your Mac — unless you choose to use a cloud AI provider (OpenAI or OpenClaw), in which case your triggered text is sent directly to that provider's servers under your own credentials. You will be asked for explicit in-app consent before any text is sent.

AgentTip monitors your keyboard input globally on macOS using the Accessibility API. When it detects a configured trigger phrase, it intercepts the text you typed, sends it to an AI provider you have configured, and replaces the text inline with the AI response. It also supports cross-app AI sessions via integration with OpenClaw (an MCP client).
We collect no data. AgentTip does not include analytics, crash reporting, telemetry, or any form of data collection. We have no servers and receive no information from your device.
The App requests macOS Accessibility permission to monitor global keyboard input across all applications. This is the core mechanism by which trigger phrases are detected.
You can revoke this permission at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
AgentTip supports multiple AI providers. Your choice of provider determines whether your text leaves your device:
What is sent to cloud providers: When a trigger phrase is detected, AgentTip sends (1) the text you typed after the trigger phrase, (2) any text you had highlighted in another application via the selection shortcut, and (3) content from document folders you have configured as context. No other data is transmitted.
Before any text is sent to a cloud provider, AgentTip presents a clear in-app disclosure and requires your explicit agreement. This consent is stored locally on your Mac and is not transmitted anywhere.
The App stores your API keys and gateway tokens securely in macOS Keychain. We do not have access to your Keychain, your API keys, or your prompts.
If you use the OpenClaw integration, session data may be shared between your Mac and OpenClaw's infrastructure as configured by you. AgentTip acts as a trigger interface only — we do not control, store, or receive any data from OpenClaw sessions. Refer to OpenClaw's own privacy policy for details on how they handle session data.

This data never leaves your Mac through the App. You can delete all local data by uninstalling the App and clearing its Keychain entries.
AgentTip is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that may implicate privacy concerns, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
